The Q1 Anti-Escape child restraint has been specially adapted and offers multiple installation options to suit your busy lifestyle and vehicle. The Q1 can be fitted by all 3 points of installation; Seat Belt, Isofix and Top Tether. If your vehicle does not have all 3 points of installation (for example a van), the Q1 can be installed by the vehicle's seat belt only.
Reversed Harness:
We've worked with many parents and when it comes to anti-escape we've looked to make the Q1 as foolproof as possible for the wearer. That's why Q1's 5-point harness is reversed. The lower crotch buckle (with the red button) faces inwards rather than outwards. This eliminates the visibility of the red button and sits tight against the wearer's body. The 5-point harness is slackened and tightened as normal when you are installing or releasing the wearer from the restraint.
Additional Support & Comfort.
The wearer needs enhanced support and comfort when travelling. That's why Q1 has been specially adapted with a layer of memory foam beneath the cover. We understand children can become frustrated and uncomfortable because many children's car seats don't provide adequate support or comfort. Our aim is to combine comfort and support through a range of adaptions bespoke to your requirements.
Harness Pads and Chest Clip.
Installed on the harness system are comfort pads and a chest clip. The Harness pads are designed to be positioned from the shoulders and drop towards the wearer's chest. The chest clip can be easily clicked together enhancing security when a child is installed in the seat. The chest clip has been adapted so it can be removed if required.
Leg Overhang.
We wanted to develop an anti-escape system that would encourage your child to show less resistance getting into the vehcile and encourage them to want to use the travel system. When the wearer does not have a platform to rest their feet they experience leg overhang. This then makes the person uncomfortable and want to escape. Here at Click Car Seats, we can provide your child with a stable and secure platform when travelling while enhancing comfort. The foot platform also encourages the wearer to use it when getting themselves in and out of the vehcile. Foot platforms are optional extras.
Peace Of Mind.
Overall we want to deliver peace of mind for all occupants in the vehcile when travelling and we want the wearer to remain securely in the restraint. No anti-escape system is guaranteed to prevent your child from escaping on journeys. We've developed the Q1 Anti-Escape system to encourage the wearer to show less resistance when travelling and deliver a less challenging journey for everyone. We also provide 2 x emergency seat belt cutters. Q1 is a specially adapted travel system and in the event of an emergency the vehcile seat belt webbing and/or the restraints 5-point harness can be cut for emergency release. We recommend one cutter is kept in the front glove box, and one in the boot of the vehicle.
Q1’s unique reversed 5-point harness ensures the wearer can remain firmly in position when travelling. The Q1’s crotch buckle and harness clips face inwards so the red release button is not on display. The release button cannot be depressed unless the user and not the wearer have loosened the harness system.
The Q1 car seat has specially placed padding to enhance travelling comfort levels. Our comfort focus has been developed so the wearer shows less resistance when being installed in the restraint, and on journeys.
Q1’s performance shoulder-2-chest pads can be easily positioned and adjusted where required keeping the integrated harness webbing tight against the wearer's body. The shoulder-to-chest pads also feature a cross-chest security clip designed to prevent the wearer from removing their arms and keeping the upper body in position. The upper-security clip also has an optional fabric cover (included) that can be used to hide the security clip and deter use by the wearer.
The anti-escape Q1 restraint has multiple fitting options such as Isofix, Seat Belt and Top Tether. Where possible we recommend using all 3 points of fitting when installing in a vehicle. The restraint can be installed with the vehicle seat belt only, Isofix only, or seat belt and Isofix. Alternatively, Isofix and top tether could be used as installation options. Click right. Click tight.
